"Dear Gary, Recently I brought my 2004 Nissan Altima to your business for an oil change as well as for any service updates that were needed.

After the oil change was completed, you contacted me and advised that there was no need for any other service based upon your examination of the vehicle. However, you did advise me that there was a high pitched sound coming from the engine near the timing chain, that you felt should be further diagnosed.

Subsequently you contacted me within the hour, and told me that your Lindsay, who is one of the Master Technicians at your business, felt that the high pitched sound was coming from the timing chain guides, and that they should be replaced to avoid the noise getting worse and/or possibly causing damage to the engine.

You and I discussed my options which included your business doing the necessary work to replace the timing chain guides. During that conversation, I mentioned that I had an extended warranty on the vehicle through the dealer. Instead of attempting to convince me to let your business do the repair, you advised me that the vehicle was safe to drive and that I should check with the dealer to see if it was covered under the extended warranty.

Prior to leaving the business, Lindsay, took the time to look at my vehicle again, and to explain to me where the noise was coming from, and what he believed the problem was. he also told me that he had previously worked at the dealership, and that I should contact a specific service consultant at the dealership about the noise.

I immediately drove to the dealership, and contacted that service consultant. He told me that your business had called him, and told him I would be coming in. Without further discussion, the consultant immediately scheduled the service based on Lindsay's diagnosis of the problem. He also told me the repair was covered under my warranty.

I commend you and your employees for their professionalism, honesty and integrity. It is reassuring to know that your business believes in, and practices excellent customer service. Thanks again." - R.S.P.
