My 1996 Toyota Tacoma starting popping out of 1st and 3rd gear and had general poor shifting performance. After the folks at Made in Japan test drove it to verify the problem, they immediately called me with good news that it wasn't what they initially thought could be a transmission issue but rather a relatively cheap fix to replace the shift lever cap. After only a few hours, they turned the keys back over and I drove away with a stick shift that now operates as smooth as butter like when it was new. Easy fix, very satisfied customer, honest repair shop--Thank you, Phil!

Phil was really nice from start to finish. He explained everything they were going to perform on the 60,000 mile check up. Our car was out of alignment, so he advised us on that. He called us back when all checks were done. Car runs like a champ now. He and his crew do very good work and customer service was great.

I've taken my 2004 Toyota to Made In Japan on a couple of occasions. Both visits went great, were completed in the time expected for the amount quoted. And the timing belt replacement was significantly less than the quote at the Auburn Blvd mega-dealer. Friendly, too.
